Veteran of ATO Igor Lugine 22 years old. And when I fought, there were 18. Igor left as a volunteer directly from Maidan, in the third year was wounded and can not walk. He found consolation in embroidery and hopes that in this way he will earn himself for treatment.

Sumnanin Igor Lugina before the war studied in fizruka, was engaged in track and field athletics and met with the beautiful Marina, with whom they met while at school. During the Revolution, he did not dignity and went to Maidan. And soon, after Maidan, as soon as the ATO began - to the war, one of the hundreds of volunteers of the first wave. Subsequently, he signed a contract and was at the forefront.

"I already called the family from the military unit, said about it," he confesses with a sly smile.

On the first holiday of Igor, he and Marina were married, in the second he passed the session. During the third holiday Igor and Marina felt that they want to become parents.

"Little things that can happen in life" - explain why before returning from the war they decided not to wait. And soon after Igor received the news that he would become a father, there was a terrible.

January 31, 2017 was another day, on the Svetlodar arc (front near Bakhmut) there were fierce battles. The militants beat everything they had, almost without stopping. Once again, when the shooting subsided a little, the junior sergeant of the 1st company of the 54th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lugina and the other boys began to carry sacks of sand lying over the breastwork of the trench. It was necessary to restore the fortress before the new shelling began.

There was one bag left when Igor heard the cotton, and then felt a burning pain. The enemy sniper has worked.

"I was in the armor, but the bullet ricocheted and went to the side, between the body armor, punched the lung and spine," recalls Atovo.

Came back in the hospital in Dnipro. A terrible pain, from which even the eyes could not be opened, eventually passed, but Igor still does not feel his legs. Doctors say different things - from "be patient, you will soon rise to your feet" to "do not expect in vain, you will never walk".

Obviously, one should not drop hands, find more doctors, try all available methods of treatment. Only Igor has these very few available: he lives in a rented room with his wife and mother-in-law, has no permanent income, has no education,.

Fleeing from depression, Igor after the hospital plunged into needlework. Actually, his first painting he had embroidered before the war.

"It was a small icon, I do not remember already which one. I took it with myself and carried it with me all the time, and after the wound, it disappeared, "- says. He says that he started embroidering for the company, because the whole family is fond of it: wife, mother, grandmother and younger sister.

After discharge from the hospital, embroidery was for Igor available entertainment, comfort and hope for recovery. She sews beads on ready-made patterns, not only icons, but also pictures with various subjects. He says, you start to embroider and gradually forget about everything else, get carried away with work, you start to excite even more embroidered. Even there is an appetite.

"So morning you begin and till the evening, then and bad thoughts do not climb into a head, and nightmares do not dream. For me, this is also rehabilitation, only moral, "says. But still one embroidery is not enough, it is necessary to do special exercises, stretch the spine. This, if not lifted from the stroller, still strengthens health.

Igor heard a lot about the rehabilitation center in Truskavets, a month of treatment there is a hundred thousand hryvnia. Spouses live in a rented room, share it with Marina's mother, now a little. There is no income - they live on money that they managed to postpone from Igor's salary during the war, he does not receive a disability pension yet.

True, the state paid compensation for injuries. This money could be enough for almost half a year of rehabilitation, but Igor does not want to hear about spending it on himself. Because the baby is growing, he needs diapers, milk mixture, and the farther, the more. And when he, Igor, can work again and by whom - it is unknown.

"To raise me to my feet, this money may not be enough, and we still have to raise a child. On what means will I then support my family? And I have a lot of money for treatment - colds and all that is different. It turns out that when a person is in a wheelchair, his immunity weakens. Here I am now a week lay with a cold, it's good if a thousand for drugs spent. At me still lungs are pierced, there the nuances. And, kapets, it's cheaper once to hold a funeral, "- he jokes sadly.

Volunteers collected about half of the amount for one month of rehabilitation. Igor really would like to earn his own treatment for himself by what he can now do - by embroidering paintings, but, sighs ATOVET, money brings it a bit. Somewhere on 20 thousand for a year haggled. It is clear, that with such earnings about rehabilitation it is necessary to dream only.

For more stable earnings, Igor plans to recover at the teacher's college, which he left because of the war and completed his studies in the chosen specialty.

"I understand that I no longer have a physical education teacher. Well, I'll get a higher education, it will be easier to get a job, - argues. And on the assumption that she can still undergo rehabilitation and she will lift him from a wheelchair, bursts out with joyful laughter.

- Oh, if I had recovered, I would probably have invited half of the city to my house and fed me myself. Borshch! And something more, tasty ".
