The case of Shtepa was previously considered in the Leninsky District Court of Kharkov, but after five attempts to start the meeting, it was decided to postpone the proceedings to another court. The court dismissed the proceedings after the permanent failure of the meetings by both parties: either there was no Steppa, for health reasons; either the medical judge took the case.
Recall that the former Mayor of Slavyansk Nelyu Shtepu is accused of separatism, an attempt to violate Ukraine's territorial integrity and the support of militants. She was detained as early as in 2014, her case has been ongoing for three years. Earlier, she was replaced by an electronic bracelet for permanent house arrest. Shtepe faces a life sentence.
As reported in "URA-Inform," the trial in the case of Shtepa was postponed until 11 January, and she herself was ordered to continue being under house arrest.
