The captain of the police was caught on a bribe. According to the press service of the department, the head of the investigative department of one of the regional divisions of the Main Department of the National Police of the region organized a mechanism of systematic extortion of money from persons involved in cases and their relatives for the closure of criminal proceedings.

Law enforcers documented the fact of receiving the first part of a bribe of $ 500. At the same time, the bribe-taker himself was detained near the office premises while receiving the second part of the money in the amount of 1,5 thousand dollars.

Now a criminal case is opened against the detainee under Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the issue of declaring him suspicious and choosing a preventive measure.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in Lutsk arrested lieutenant colonel of the SBU, who demanded a bribe of 1,5 thousand dollars. The lieutenant colonel demanded money for assistance in the matter of the "slope" from conscript service. Part of the money was intended for officials of the Lutsk United Municipal Military Commissariat.
