Because of the measles, the commission on issues of industrial and environmental safety and emergency situations at the city council is proposing the school to take measures. As stated on the official website of the gorada, the corresponding decision was taken at a meeting of the commission chaired by deputy mayor Aleksey Kaida on Friday.
Thus, the forced vacation will last until January 21 inclusive. The exception will be secondary school number 6, where the highest number of patients. Here the vacation will last for two weeks.
In addition, the commission ordered the school principals to monitor the revealed facts of measles and to inform the city authorities about the next cases of the disease.
The Health and Education and Science Board of Education was recommended to educate the public about the need for vaccination.
At the same time, the Department of Health of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast State Administration sent an appeal regarding the provision of the city's population with a sufficient number of measles vaccines.
In OGA also reminded that measles has no age limit, and although mostly it is diagnosed in preschool and school age children, but one third of patients are adults.
