In the Sverdlovsk region during the patrolling of reservoirs, inspectors of the State Inspectorate for Small Boats (GIMS) identified four unauthorized ice crossings in which vehicles with a life risk move. Three of them on the Ufa River in the Krasnoufimsky District, one on the Upper Neyvinsky Pond. The Ministry of Emergency Situations sent a request to the municipality to eliminate dangerous crossings before January 23.
To prevent tragedies on the Ufa River and prevent transport from leaving on ice, the staff of the GIMS together with representatives of the Fish Protection Service are on duty. Since the beginning of the year, six violators have been identified, who are brought to administrative responsibility by the Fish Protection specialists in the form of a fine in the amount of 3 to 5 thousand rubles.
According to the order, the administration of the municipal formation of the Krasnoufimsky district must take measures to eliminate unauthorized crossings before January 23, control of the fulfillment of this requirement is carried out by the staff of the SIMS. On the Verkh-Neuvinsky pond, the administration took operative measures to eliminate the unauthorized crossing: there were banned sell-outs, places for going to the ice were covered with snow.
In total, in the Sverdlovsk Region, the staff of the State Marine Inspectorate has been examined and only 3 ice crossings on the Sosva River in the Serovsky District have been officially permitted for operation, providing communication with the settlements of Marsiat, Krasny Yar and Magina.
In January-February, it is planned to open 11 more crossings on the rivers Tavda, Sosva, Pelym and Lozva.
To date, the water in the north of the region and in places where ice crossings are organized, the thickness of the ice is over 50 cm, in other reservoirs the average thickness is from 35 to 45 cm, which is safe. The most dangerous are the Up-Isetsky pond, Beloyarskoe, Reftinsky, Sredneuralskoye, Verkhne-Tagilskoye reservoirs, where even in winter due to the dumping of warm waters there are open water areas.
