The prosecutor's office started a criminal case against priests from Zaporozhye

Priests suspected of discrimination and incitement of religious hostility. The Zaporizhzhya Oblast Prosecutor's Office, published on Thursday, January 11, reports that the Orthodox Union Radomir.

At the same time, the activity of clergymen and representatives of the organization was aimed at fomenting national, religious hatred and enmity, insulting the feelings of citizens in connection with their religious beliefs and entailed grave consequences in the form of clashes and riots in Zaporozhye region and other regions of Ukraine.

As noted in the prosecutor's office, the priests also insult the feelings of believers with an electoral approach, and also allowed a selective approach to the performance of religious rites, preferring those who were baptized in their church.



The said persons condemn the use of Ukrainian language by the church representatives, thus degrading the national honor of the citizens of Ukraine, the prosecutor's office said, adding that among the parishioners of the churches information is spread about the need to unite Ukraine with Russia and condemns the European direction of development of our state, condemns the antiterrorist operation, and justifies the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation in relation to Ukraine.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in Zaporozhye priest at the funeral refused to burial a child baptized in the UOC-KP. The incident caused a wave of protests throughout Ukraine. In particular, in Kiev, the radicals blocked the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
