Meteorological avalanche station Pay in the Transcarpathian region marked the descent of 7 and 8 January of two wet avalanches from Mount Temnatic. Their volumes were 20 and 18 thousand cubic meters each.
The height of separation was 1050 and 1080 meters above sea level. Fortunately, losses are not caused by avalanches.
This is reported on the official website of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies. According to the agency, which refers to the information of the snow-lift station Pozhizhevskaya in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, on January 9, a wet avalanche was found from the eastern slope of Mount Goverla with a capacity of 1.2 thousand cubic meters.
This avalanche also did not inflict losses.
At the same time, according to the data of UkrHydrometcenter, on January 10, a considerable snow-melting hazard remains at the high-altitude region of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, the third level.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, at the third level, according to the European classification, avalanches can come down on many slopes even in conditions of low impact on snow masses, - warn rescuers. On some slopes, medium or large spontaneous avalanches.
