Thus, the lion's share of unpaid wages falls on Luhansk and in the Donetsk region - half a billion, respectively. The smallest number of debts was recorded in the Chernivtsi region - 4.1 million hryvnia, Zhytomyr region - 4.4 million hryvnia and Khmelnitsky region - 6.5 million hryvnia. In general, the delays concern the payment of wages for the month of December 2017. As of January 8, 2018, half of the amount on internal debts has already been repaid.
It is noteworthy that the Donetsk region is among the top three in terms of wages per capita with an average salary of 8,217 hryvnia.
