So, from January to December 2017, under the article 109-114 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, 51 people were represented. Such production last year was made 264 against 435 criminals. However, the courts managed to consider only 71 cases, and to convict on 51st case. All those charged with undermining Ukraine's national security received long prison sentences - from 10 years or more.

In addition, the Security Service of Ukraine this year prevented 16 attempts of terrorist acts on the territory of Ukraine. All suspects in the attempt to commit terrorist attacks have already received their sentences.

As reported in the "URA-Inform", the National Security Council insists on the adoption of the law on national security in 2018. At the moment, the skeleton of the law is ready, but it still requires the approval of the deputy commission of security and defense, which will entail a number of amendments and the sending of the law for revision.
