This was announced by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavel Rozenko.
According to him, the draft law itself was prepared as early as 2017 and sent to the National Security and Defense Council for additional revision and amendment. Regardless of whether the Verkhovna Rada will vote for the bill, modernizing pensions, actually raising them, will begin from January 1 of this year.
Rosenko argues that the government has every opportunity to make such a recalculation without the consent of people's deputies. It is planned to increase pension payments to veterans and participants of the ATU, as well as to families who lost their breadwinner.
