Officials organized a scheme to extort bribes. As the press secretary of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Larisa Sargan reports on her page in the social network, today the investigators of the regional prosecutor's office detained officials in their offices, who demanded from an individual entrepreneur and received an unfair advantage in the amount of UAH 27,000.

For this money they promise to solve the issue of allocating land plots on the territory of the district with a total area of ??20 hectares under the management of agricultural commodity production, with the subsequent conclusion of an agreement on its use for a period of 15 years.

The detainees conducted searches during which a part of the previously agreed bribe in the amount of seven thousand hryvnia was found and seized.

Currently, searches and other priority investigative actions are being carried out.

Detainees are preparing a report on suspicion under the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine Obtaining an improper benefit by an official by prior agreement with a group of persons involved in extortion and deciding on the question of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the military prosecutor's office of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky garrison of the Southern region of Ukraine documented the fact of receiving a bribe.
