As of Thursday morning, January 4, the elements caused significant damage and led to the death of one person. As reported by Le Figaro, in France because of the fall of a tree, a skier died at a resort in the department of Morillon. Another 15 people were injured, among them four are in serious condition.

At the moment, seven French departments have already announced an "orange" warning status. Here the gusts of the wind reach 147 kilometers per hour and more than 200,000 homes remain without electricity, including 30,000 in the Paris region.

In Belgium, the storm rages for two days already. Here the gusts of the wind reach 120 kilometers per hour.

Today in the morning rescuers began to disassemble tree debris and damaged cars, renew electricity supplies. In two regions because of heavy rains floods began. On the territory of the country there is also an "orange" warning.

The storm also reached the north-west of Germany, where roads were flooded in several areas.



In the Netherlands, because of the storm, about 200 flights were canceled, and the trains moved with a decrease in speed.

Strong winds led to power outages in Switzerland, flights canceled in Zurich and Basel. Thousands of households on Lake Zurich were left without electricity because of a storm, and on motorways the wind overturned trucks.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in France, where in the west of the country storms the storm "Carmen", on Tuesday, January 2, without electricity left almost ten thousand households.
