He was suspected of extortion. According to the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, the policeman demanded a $ 1.3 thousand bribe from the perpetrator of a traffic accident in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Now the military prosecutor's office has started an investigation of the criminal case on extortion by the senior investigator of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police by the captain of police from the accused in the accident, bribes for closing the case against the latter and returning the offender's car from the penalty area.

Today, while receiving part of the improper benefit of a thousand dollars, the captain of the police was detained.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in the Lviv region, the police and the military prosecutor's office detained the director of a limited liability company. The woman was caught at the time of receiving the agreed bribe amount of UAH 45,000. As the press service of the Department of Economic Protection of the National Police of Ukraine informs, for this money the director promised to return the confiscated goods.
