The program, worth 5.6 million dollars, is called "Extended Dynamic Geo-Social Environment" or "EDGE". It is similar to that used by the army to train soldiers for combat operations, to develop various tactics and strategies of behavior in military conditions. Now the adapted program will be available for teachers and schoolchildren across the country. School version should be ready by spring, says AR. Bob Walker, the project manager, said that the program is designed to place, first and foremost, teachers in conditions similar to those when an active shooter appears at school.

After all, teachers should be the first to react to the danger. The simulation of the actions of an arrow in the program is developed on the basis of data obtained from surviving victims of school shootings and their parents. Actions in the simulator are accompanied by cries of children and the sounds of shooting for greater realism. Will the use of the program be mandatory for teachers not known. However, free access to it will be available to all representatives of the school administration and teachers.
