In turn, the Chairman of the State Border Service Petr Tsikigal added that next year the remaining checkpoints will be equipped with a biometric control system.
To date, all checkpoints on the border with Russia are equipped with a system of biometric control, and the next year will be equipped with other checkpoints, including local ones.
As previously reported in URA-Inform, the European Commission called the demands that it puts forward to Ukraine on the implementation of reforms in the framework of visa liberalization. In its first report to the European Commission under the new mechanism for the suspension of visa-free regimes, she noted that immediate action should be taken to ensure the full implementation and sustainability of past reforms, in particular with respect to the anti-corruption benchmark.
