In Kamyshlov, the court handed down a verdict to former mayor Mikhail Chukharev, having found him guilty of exceeding official authority by the head of a local government body. The indictment on the resonant criminal case was signed personally by the deputy prosecutor of the Sverdlovsk region Alexander Chernyshev.
In November 2013, the administration of the Kamyshlovsky urban district entered into a municipal contract for the construction of low-rise apartment houses under the program "Resettlement of citizens from an emergency housing stock in the Sverdlovsk region, taking into account the need to develop low-rise housing construction in 2013-2014".
The contract expired in October 2014, and Chukharev signed acts of completed work and paid the developer, despite the fact that the houses were unfinished and unfit for living.
The payment was made from the funds of the Foundation for the Promotion of Housing Reform, the regional and municipal budgets.
Through his actions, Mikhail Chukharev caused damage to the municipal education for a total of 18.3 million rubles.
In May 2015, the Kamyshlovsky City Court temporarily suspended Chukhareva from the post for the period of investigative actions. In June 2016, he seized his property. Now Chukharev received a fine of 280 thousand rubles, and is also deprived of the right to pass a municipal and state service for a period of three years.
