December 12 private US aerospace company Blue Origin successfully tested a new rocket with a modernized capsule equipped with the largest portholes in the history of space exploration. The press service of the company reported on Twitter and comments on the video recording of the launch.
The launch took place at the company's training ground in western Texas.
The payload of the rocket, which is called the "reusable suborbital system New Shepard": test equipment and a mannequin with sensors.
The dimensions of the capsule portholes are about 70 cm in width and about 1 m in height.
As reported in Blue Origin, the launch, the flight to a height of 100 km and the return of the missile passed without incident. This was the first launch of the company since October 2016. At the end of 2018, the program managers intend to conduct tests with a man on board.
