As a result, four people were detained. They were suspected of involvement in the corruption scheme of embezzling the funds of the State Agency for Investments and Management of National Projects of Ukraine and the state enterprise "State Investment Company". The total amount of the plundered funds amounted to 259.2 million hryvnia.

As it is said on the official website of NABU, searches and detentions were held under the procedural direction of prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office. However, the names of the detainees in the Bureau are not named, but they indicate that among the detainees the former deputy chairman of Gosinvestproekt, who was also an adviser to the director of Gosinvestvikompania, a former employee of the agency, former director of GosinvestCompany, as well as a director of a number of private enterprises with signs of fictitiousness.

The NABU suspects that these individuals, abusing their official position, signed fictitious loan agreements between for the implementation of national projects "Quality Water" and "Olympic Hope - 2022".

After receiving the funds, these companies, which in the opinion of the detectives of NABU, initially did not have the opportunity to implement the noted projects, transferred funds to the accounts of offshore companies controlled by officials of Gosinvestproekt.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the former head of Gosinvestproekt Vladislav Kaskiv was extradited from Panama to Ukraine, but on the same day the court elected him a preventive measure in the form of custody for a period of two months with the possibility of paying 160 thousand hryvnia.
