Ukraine joined the EU sanctions against the "governor" of Sevastopol

As reported by the press service of the Council of Europe, on November 20, 2017, the Council adopted decision 2017/2163 on the addition of one person to the list of persons to which restrictive measures should be applied.



Candidate countries for accession to the European Union Montenegro and Albania, part of the European Free Trade Association Norway and Ukraine have joined this decision, the report says..

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, Ovsyannikova was included in the sanctions list for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

His Russia in July 2016 appointed "to act as governor," after which he worked for the further integration of the illegally annexed Crimea in the Russian Federation. In addition, he made public statements in support of the "annexation" of Crimea to Russia.
