Peter Pringle and Sunny Jacobs did not immediately get their "long and happy". At first they were just two strangers from all corners of the globe, which were tied together - Peter and Sunny were convicted for the murders of policemen who were not committed. Peter Pringlees served his sentence in Ireland. He was sentenced to death, but less than 2 weeks before the verdict, the electric chair was replaced by 40 years of imprisonment without parole. After 15 years, after a series of appeals, erroneously condemned Pringley managed to justify himself and go free.

The fate of Sunny Jacobs is strikingly similar to what her future husband experienced. In 1976, the Florida court condemned the woman to death for killing two cops. In the end, Sunny, after spending 17 years in prison, also proved her innocence and went free.

Peter and Sunny playfully call the musician Steve Earle their personal Cupid. He was an activist of the movement against the death penalty, thanks to his advocacy activities, the singer met Peter and Sunny and told each of them that they must meet. Soon it happened.

Sunny came to Ireland to give a lecture about her experience. She recognized the telephone number of Peter and invited him to come to listen to the speech. The woman still remembers her shock at the fact that this big serious person during her performance cried. At the end of the evening, Peter confessed to Sunny that he had passed exactly the same way she did, and invited the woman to visit.

All night they talked about how they lived in prison - Sunny was in full charge of her camera and made rugs from newspapers, and Peter was reading books on jurisprudence. Both of them were helped by yoga and meditation. Sunny says that already that night she understood: Peter is her destiny.

The next day the strange couple again spent together. After another lecture Sunny they went to the hotel and 3.5 hours talked. Then Peter, like a real gentleman, wished Sunny a good night and went to his room. The next morning they decided to remain friends, because Peter at that time had a relationship.

Despite the 4000 miles that separated them, Peter and Sunny did not stop communicating. The man felt that Sunny is the only one to whom he can tell everything he thinks. After a while Peter organized three lectures for Sunny in Ireland. At that time he had already parted with his woman, so invited her to meet. Their relationship at a distance lasted 3 years, and then Sunny moved to Ireland.

Now the couple lives in a happy marriage.

Former prisoners organized The Sunny Center, where they help those who are less fortunate. People who have served undeserved punishment come to the center for weekly retreats: they farm there, raise goats and chickens, make cheese, fish.

Peter and Sunny strongly support their guests, listen to their stories and tell us how they coped with their own problems. Sunny is confident that their relationship lasts so long, because they know how to share "magic, beauty and love" that he and Peter managed to find together.
