The ceremony of the train's launch was attended by German Chancellor Angela Merkal, who herself tested the transport in action. The distance from Berlin to Munich, which is 624 km, can now be overcome in little less than four hours, which broke the previous speed record for rail transport for two and a half hours. The first opportunity to ride and evaluate the train was given to officials and media representatives.
The construction of such a high-speed giant was allocated 10 billion euros, but the government is satisfied with the results of the work of the contractor. The project also became the most expensive in the history of car building for Germany.
