The damage from forest fires in California exceeded nine billion dollars

This is the most significant damage caused by fires in the history of the United States of America. As Marked by MarketWatch, over a month in the region, more than 21,000 residential buildings and 2,8 thousand businesses, as well as more than six thousand vehicles, have been damaged or destroyed.

According to state insurance inspector Dave Jones, as of December 1, the damage amounted to 9.4 billion dollars. These calculations are based on data from 260 insurers.

He also explained that the figures not only represent the staggering loss of tens of thousands of Californians.

The October fires that devastated whole settlements and cost lives to 44 people turned out to be the most destructive and deadly in the history of our state.
