There law enforcement officers discovered more than a ton of amber. According to the press service of the National Police, during the year law enforcers collected the facts of illegal amber mining in the northern regions of the region.

It was found that the stones were stored in warehouses, processed in clandestine shops and exported outside the country. This morning police conducted searches in warehouses and in underground shops in the territory of Rivne, Rovno and Sarny districts.

During the investigation, more than a ton of processed and untreated amber of various fractions, motor pumps and amber equipment were seized.

According to preliminary estimates, the cost of seized solar stone is more than ten million hryvnia.

Now the police identify those involved in the organization of illegal activities.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in the Volyn region, law enforcement officers detained a group of people who had washed themselves 200 kilograms of amber.

As a result of the raid, police on several residential buildings in the city of Lutsk found a shop where amber was processed, and also seized almost 200 kilograms of amber stones of various fractions of valuable mineral. Among the products in the shop were found bracelets, beads, as well as paintings, and five machines for processing the "solar" stone. It is likely that the products sold abroad.
