The corresponding document was posted on the official website of the Council of Europe.

It is noted that the introduction of new rules the EU intends to protect the European producer in the domestic market and to fight the effects of dumping imports from countries outside the EU.

The new anti-dumping rules will eliminate the old differences between the market and non-market economies to calculate dumping while maintaining the same level of protection for producers.

The European Commission will monitor "significant market distortions" between the sale price of the product and its cost price. Proceeding from this, it will be allowed to set the price for the product, referring, for example, to the price of goods in a country with a similar level of economic development or to the corresponding undistorted international costs and prices.

In addition, EU companies will get rid of various bureaucratic procedures related to the supply of goods to the domestic market, and small and medium-sized enterprises will receive assistance in procedural matters in case of filing complaints on anti-dumping cases.

We add that the new trade rules will come into force on December 20.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, the US International Trade Commission published a preliminary definition of anti-dumping duties on the import of steel wire from carbon steel from Italy, South Korea, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
