The rehabilitation of the Chernoistochinsk reservoir in 2018 from the regional budget will allocate 39 million rubles. This was reported in the DIP Governor of the Sverdlovsk region.

On the overhaul of the hydraulic structure (GTS) allocated 25 million rubles. Another 5 million rubles are planned to spend on engineering and technical surveys and design of measures for the environmental rehabilitation of the pond. In addition, the allocation of 9 million rubles for the exploration of reserve underground sources of drinking water in exchange for the surface waters of the Chernoistochinsky Pond.

"The funds have been coordinated within the framework of a comprehensive plan of measures for the environmental rehabilitation of the Chernoistochinsk and Verkhne-Vysk reservoirs to equalize the budget provision of Nizhny Tagil," said Vyacheslav Tyumentsev, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Sverdlovsk Region.

Chairman of the NGO "Ecopravo" Andrei Volegov, who has been dealing with the pond problem for several years, believes that the money allocated for the repair of the GTS and the rehabilitation of the pond is not enough. At the same time, he has no claims to the Ministry of Natural Resources. In the situation, according to him, the administration is to blame.

"There was an agreement that the money would be shared by the city and regional authorities. But at the end of the year the mayor's office declares that it can not allocate funds for the rehabilitation of the pond, because it is in federal ownership. I'm shocked by this position. It turns out that the Ministry of Natural Resources has fulfilled its obligations, and the administration has retreated, "he commented to the JustMedia correspondent. en.

In August 2016, people living near the Chernoistochinsky pond complained of sea fish and drinking water with a sharp smell of rot. After numerous appeals of residents, ecologists and publications in the media, the regional prosecutor's office opened a criminal case. On behalf of the governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev, an interdepartmental commission was established in the region that developed and approved a comprehensive plan of measures for the rehabilitation of the Chernoistochinsk and Verkhne-Vyisk reservoirs.
