Such a statement was made by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov.
According to Turchinov, a technological line for the production of missile hulls was launched at the Artyom plant. In turn, the missiles are designed for a multiple launch system, including for the passing test of the Russian MLRS Alder.
"This is a very serious step that our defense industry has done to provide the missile shield of our country," said the NSDC Secretary.
At the same time, he stressed that the mass production of missile corps will begin in 2018.
As previously reported in URA-Inform, the Cabinet resumed financing the construction program for four military ships of the Corvette class,. According to the document, the program provides for the construction of four ships of the type Vladimir the Great. The cost of building ships will be almost 32 billion hryvnia.
