Ukraine resumed the construction of warships

The corresponding decision became known from the website of the government.

According to the document, the program provides for the construction of four ships of the type Vladimir the Great. The cost of building ships will be almost 32 billion hryvnia.

In 2019, the first corvette will spend more than 1.4 billion hryvnia, and the transfer of its Navy should in 2022. The second ship of the series will be built in 2018 and transferred to the Ukrainian Navy in 2024. The third and fourth corvettes will be ready in 2026 and 2028.

Part of the work on it was carried out in 2011-2014. It is noted that some of the work has already been done, now the readiness of the corvette is estimated at 17%, and the body is ready for 80%.

Three subsequent corvettes will cost the budget of 20.6 billion hryvnia. The program also provides for the purchase of ship ammunition, including anti-ship missiles. This will spend 3.5 billion hryvnia.

The ship will be unobtrusive for radars thanks to the hull contours, hidden weapons and equipment.



Corvette will equip the newest Ukrainian radar, hydroacoustic system and communication complex. It will be armed with anti-ship and anti-aircraft missiles, torpedoes and three artillery systems, which will allow performing a wide range of tasks - to combat surface, air and underwater targets.

As previously reported, "URA-Inform", Turkey refused to receive ships that arrived from the ports of the Crimea occupied by Russia, confirmed the representative of the Turkish Chamber of Shipping.
