According to Sky News Arabia, the epicenter of the tremors was 32 kilometers north of the Iranian city of Sarpol-e-Zahab and a hundred kilometers south-east of the city of Sulaymaniyah in Iraq. The hearth lay at a depth of ten kilometers.
