According to the publication, 26-year-old Misty Spann received the maximum possible period provided for by laws for accused persons in incest.

Charges were raised against her mother, 44-year-old Patricia Spann, but the woman refused to admit guilt. Her case will be reviewed by the court in January next year.

It is noted that Misty Spann grew up with her grandmother, since her mother was deprived of parental rights. In 2014, the women again met, and two years later married.

It was not the first such marriage of Spann the younger. And in 2008 she married her own son, but 15 months later the marriage was revoked by the authorities.
