All these countries have overcome 80% of the gap between men and women in the areas of access to education, economic freedom, political participation and health. The first place, like last year, was taken by Iceland, followed by Norway.
All European countries, included in the top 10, are distinguished by a high level of women's participation in politics.
For example, in Finland, compared to last year, the gap between the number of men and women in Parliament. And in Slovenia, the number of men and women equaling the positions of ministers. In these countries, the participation of men and women in the economy is equalized, including on the leading positions in companies.
Ukraine took 61 place, and Russia -71 place among 144 countries rankings.
This is the 12th edition of the rating based on more than 70 indicators, notes Europulse.
