The translation of the hours is regulated by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of May 13, 1995, No. 509 "On the procedure for calculating time on the territory of Ukraine".
"To introduce on the territory of Ukraine such an order of time calculation: the time of the second time zone (Kiev time) with the transfer of an hourly hour on the last Sunday of March at 3 hours for 1 hour ahead and on the last Sunday in October at 4 hours for 1 hour ago," reads in a resolution.
The switch to summer time was introduced in the UK in 1908 to save and more rational use of electricity during the day.
In Ukraine, this practice has been left since the USSR, where for the first time the watch hands were translated in 1981.
In 2011, the Verkhovna Rada tried to permanently capture summer time in Ukraine, but under public pressure the decision was abolished.
Now over 110 countries are switching to summer time.
