The meeting was postponed to October 11 in connection with the trip of the state defender of former president Maxim Gerasko to the Russian Federation to meet with his client. The relevant decision was taken today by the court.

As the press secretary of the Prosecutor General Larisa Sargan wrote on her page in the social network, the lawyer provided the court with copies of electronic tickets to Moscow via Minsk. At the same time, the presiding judge Vladislav Devyatko read out a lawyer's appeal, which he informs the court about his business trip, "she explained..

In turn, Gerasko added that he attached to this statement a letter from the lawyer association "Aver Lex", which previously participated in the defense of Yanukovych, in which lawyers indicate that they consider it advisable not to use telephone communications to communicate with Yanukovych on the basis of security considerations.

At the same time, the defense asked to reschedule the meeting on October 19, but prosecutors said that, in their opinion, it would be enough for him to take a decision on all issues. After that, the court decided to continue the meeting on October 11 at ten o'clock in the morning.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the court did not satisfy the petition of the lawyer Yanukovych Maxim Gerasko to exclude from the evidence the copies of some documents and video.
