The decision to start it earlier than scheduled on Wednesday, October 4, was unanimously adopted at a meeting of the executive committee of the Zhytomyr City Council. According to the city council, the deputy head of the city, Alexander Feshchenko, initiated the heating season.

He recalled that on the eve of the meeting of the operational city headquarters to consider the issues of the readiness of the city economy to start the heating season 2017-2018.

During the meeting, the heads of the executive bodies of the city council, municipal enterprises, according to their competence, reported on the readiness of the housing stock, educational institutions, health care institutions before the start of the heating season.

At the moment, utilities have already carried out maintenance repairs of 55 boiler houses, 75 central heating stations, 145.32 kilometers of heating networks and replaced 1, 617 kilometers of emergency heating networks.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, Vladimir Groisman said that if the temperature lasts for three days less than eight degrees - in Ukraine, starts the heating season.
