On Wednesday, October 4, the relevant decision was taken by the Supreme Council of Justice. As explained in the council, Chaus is temporarily suspended in accordance with part two of Article 62 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Supreme Council of Justice" on the basis of the decision of the Third Disciplinary Chamber to bring a judge to disciplinary responsibility and apply disciplinary punishment to him in the form of a dismissal.
At the same time, a judge is considered to be suspended from justice without a separate decision by the High Council of Justice. The validity period for the removal of a judge from justice - prior to the decision of the High Council of Justice to dismiss or to abolish the disciplinary chamber's decision, - was added to the High Court of Justice.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the court in Moldova postponed the court session in the case of Ukrainian judge Nikolai Chaus on October 6.
