The Dergachevsky District Court of the Kharkov region issued a guilty verdict to an ex-serviceman who shot and killed one of his colleagues. The corresponding document was published in the Single Register of Judgments.

Recall that in September 2016 Kharkov law enforcement officers detained a 28-year-old soldier suspected of deliberately killing and escaping from the location of the military unit. As the investigators managed to find out, before the incident a native of Vinnytsia region drank and argued with his commander about who would be demobilized from the APU earlier - he or a 40-year-old sergeant of the same unit.

When the commander told the serviceman of his wrongfulness, the drunken fighter offered his future victim a "bet," the subject of which would be the life of the loser. He told the sergeant that if he leaves the ranks of the Supreme Armed Forces earlier, he could shoot him, but otherwise the soldier promised to kill not only the man but his children. In response, the sergeant attempted to strike a drunk debater, but his co-workers prevented him, notes NR.

Then the attacker took in his car weapons and called the participant "betting". First, the guy hit him in the back with a knife, and then shot three times from AKS74U in the victim.

The incident saw the paramedic of the same unit and rushed to take away the machine gun, but as a result of the fight he received a gunshot wound to the hip. The gunner himself got it - one of the bullets hit him in the forearm. But this did not stop the criminal - he approached the sergeant lying on the ground and finished it off, after which he fled the military unit.

The court found the senior soldier guilty of willful killing, attempted murder and loss of military property. On the totality of crimes he was sentenced to ten years in prison.
