The World Bank expects inflation in Ukraine at 10% in 2017.

This was reported today by the economist of the bank's representation in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Anastasia Golovach.

- The deficit of the state budget this year may amount to 3.5% of GDP due to fiscal risks, and foreign direct investment this year will reach a maximum of 2% of GDP.

The World Bank considers it necessary to target reducing the state budget deficit in 2018 to 2.5% of GDP and further reducing it, "she said..

At the same time, as the World Bank Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Satu Kakhkonen said, the World Bank expects that the Ukrainian economy in 2017 will show growth at the level of 2%.

At the same time, she added that this is not enough to reduce the poverty level in the country.

"We need urgent reforms that will allow Ukraine to achieve economic growth of 4%," she said..
