The Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on Wednesday adopted a resolution on improving the provision of state social assistance to children.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy.

The decree concerns the procedure for the appointment and payment of state aid to children whose parents evade payment of alimony, are unable to support their child or their place of residence is unknown.

Thus, the changes occurred in accordance with the law "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Improving the Protection of the Right of the Child to Proper Maintenance" with regard to determining the amount of assistance, if the court establishes maintenance in a fixed amount of money.

In addition, the resolution provides that in the case of submitting an application for the purpose of assisting the birth of a child in electronic form using a digital signature, the social protection agencies will designate such assistance no later than the next working day after receiving the application.

The payment of one-time aid for the birth of a child will be made no later than the next business day.

Recall, in 2014, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced a single amount of assistance in the amount of 41,280 thousand hryvnia at the birth of a child.
