The Ukrainian department calls on the world community and international human rights institutions to take measures for the release and return to Ukraine of its citizens illegally held in Russia.
As stated in the comments of the diplomatic department, the Ministry expresses its strong protest in connection with the decision of the Moscow City Court of September 25 of this year.
At the same time, the Foreign Ministry stressed that the groundless detention of a Ukrainian journalist in Russia on politically motivated charges of espionage is "additional evidence of the absence of a justice system and the right to a fair trial in that country".
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, today the Moscow City Court extended for two months the arrest of Ukrainian citizen Sushchenko, accused in the Russian Federation of espionage.
