Weather forecasters warn of rising water levels in rivers

Over the next two days heavy rains are expected in Ukraine. According to the press center of the State Emergency Service, referring to the data of Ukrgidromettsentr, due to heavy precipitation, the water level can rise on the rivers of Transcarpathia by 0.5-1.5 meters. On the rivers of the Prut, Siret, Syan, Dnister Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, 0.3-1 m.

Then, on September 25, on the rivers of the Western Bug basin (Lviv and Volyn regions, the water level can rise by 0.3 - 1.0 meters. Weather forecasters also warn that in the places of passage of strong downpours a significant local run-off will be formed, and on small watercourses there will be a fleeting rise in water levels.

Also, according to weather forecasters, it is expected to continue raising the water levels above the levels on the tributaries of the Dniester of Khmelnytsky and Vinnytsia regions by 0.1 to 0.
