This was reported by the Deputy Minister of National Defense of Poland Michal Dvorchik.

According to the Deputy Defense Minister of Poland Michal Dvorchik, the purpose of the exercises is to work out joint actions of Polish and foreign troops in a threat situation.

"The scenario assumes that one of the neighboring states intends to gain access to resources on the territory of our country. An attempt is being made to destabilize the political situation, disrupt the work of state administration bodies and local authorities, "said Dvorchik.

Also, as the minister asserts, although this is a hypothetical scenario, however, it is based on situations that have been observed recently.

"We are talking, for example, about the situation in Ukraine and the annexation of the Crimea," added the Polish Vice-Minister of Defense.

It is noted that the exercises take place at several polygons in Poland, both on land, at sea and in the air. They will be attended by all types of the Armed Forces, including for the first time - the Territorial Defense Forces.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, the leadership of the NATO military-political bloc will send several observers to the Russian-Belarusian military exercises.
