Police conducted raids on the headquarters of the Government of Catalonia

According to their information, the Spanish Civil Guard on Wednesday conducted searches in several government departments, including the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the headquarters of the Government of Catalonia.

Three representatives of the government were arrested, according to the ruling party of Catalonia.



It is reported that the Spanish authorities are trying to increase pressure on the Catalan region on the eve of the planned vote, which was declared illegal. The Spanish government promised that the vote will not take place.

The police also threatened lawsuits against the persons organizing the vote, including the mayor, politicians and even ordinary people who help at the polling station.

Recall as previously reported in URA-Inform, the Supreme Court of Spain does not recognize all documents adopted by the Catalan Parliament and considers them illegal.
