According to the minister, a comprehensive adjustment of the legislation on waste management is currently under way, including taking into account the draft decree on the liberalization of business conditions. Such a system is also in place in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Germany.
It is planned that, taking into account the provisions, the strategy for the management of solid municipal waste, the legislation will be put on a single document. Thus, the document should be put in place by 2020. In addition, the relevant project will include all provisions of the National Strategy.
By the way, Belarus has developed an action plan in this area in line with European standards.
