Since the beginning of the year, 110 women have been admitted to the military posts in the armed forces, said Anatoly Petrenko, director of the military policy, strategic planning and international cooperation department of the Defense Ministry.

A total of 53,703 women serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 3,209 of whom are officers.

She stressed the need for the early establishment of an institute of gender advisers in law enforcement agencies.

Now the UN Women organization is completing a study on the need to introduce such an institution.
