Levels of water in the rivers of Ukraine after downpours can rise - State Emergency Service

The same situation may continue on Tuesday. According to the press service of the State Emergency Service, referring to the data of the Ukrainian weather forecasters, on the rivers of the Dniester Basin, within the Ternopil, Khmelnitsky and Vinnytsia regions, water level rises of 0.2-0.7 meters are expected in the next two days.



Also on September 4, the water level will continue to rise on the rivers of the Transcarpathian region.

As of eight o'clock in the morning of today, the water has already risen by 0.2-1.0 meters, and in some parts of the rivers by 0.5-1.5 meters within the riverbed.

In places where strong showers pass, a significant local run-off will be formed, a fleeting rise in water levels on small streams, mudflows may form, - rescuers warned.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, bad weather on Monday night, de-energized 167 settlements in Ukraine.
