The fire in Rostov-on-Don is extinguished. With him fought more than a day. Burned about 120 buildings, of which 118 were residential buildings. Several hundred people were left homeless (218 families). 58 people asked for medical help. There were no casualties: a disabled person was killed who could not get out of the burning house on his own. Although some say that there are more victims.
And after all, it was not burning somewhere in a remote place - the historical center of a large regional center was burning, five minutes from the main square of the city. Although this is what is called the main cause of the fire. Too tasty place, too expensive here is the land. Those who later became fire victims, were persuaded to sell the houses for nothing and to clean up their clothes. Threatened. But people did not want to leave the place where they were born, lived. Many people got home from their grandparents' parents. On the amount offered by realtors nothing worthwhile to buy was impossible. And the threats of representatives of "construction companies" were more than certain.
When the fire started, the dispatchers were confused: the calls came from different places, and it was confusing. This once again speaks of the non-accidental fire. Arson, but on this version, almost all agreed, was a well-planned action. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code "Deliberate destruction or damage to someone else's property". And you can only rejoice that there are not so many victims and victims. The fire swiftly moved from one house to another, although the distance between the buildings was 150-200 meters. Residents of houses tried to cope with the flame themselves. The first calculations were put in place only after half an hour. Police officers forcefully drove from the roofs and drove away from the houses of people who watered buildings with water. The water flowing from the hoses, for some reason was hot. Alas, not everyone managed to save their homes. On the hands of arsonists played a heat (up to 38 degrees) and strong wind. A criminal case was opened on the fact of the person's beating. And that's not it. "A criminal case was instituted on the fact of improper performance of their duties by officials of the executive bodies, municipal services and agencies responsible for providing fire safety, as well as to prevent and eliminate the consequences of the disaster in Rostov-on-Don," the press service of the UK said. Of Russia.
The fire began on August 22, the first signal arrived at 13:00, 10 thousand square meters of fire swept very quickly, it was possible to localize it only by 19:00, and then until 7:00 on August 23, spillage of structures and debris removal continued,. In extinguishing the fire, very impressive forces were involved: about 2 thousand people, 212 units of equipment. By evening firefighters were falling down. The people who were present here picked up the hoses - the fight against the fire continued. And while the firemen fought with fire in one place, at 15 o'clock the fire broke out in the other, a gas leak was formed, and a powerful explosion. The situation was complicated by one more circumstance: a few days before the Rostov fire in the Ust-Donetsk region, a major fire occurred in an area of ??5 thousand hectares. Significant forces were tightened there and already the fourth day fought with fire.
On the call for help already on Tuesday, Rostovites were taken to two schools, where fire victims, things, food, water, medicines, personal hygiene products were placed.
It turns out that residents of the Theater descent complained about the threats of a realtor who, having received refusals from people living here, to sell houses with plots for ridiculous amounts of 100 to 600 thousand rubles per hundred square meters, went to threats. In the summer there were several arson attacks, but they managed to cope quickly.
However, in the city administration, complaints of the population were not reacted at all even after the first arson attacks.
Now the victims are paid. The place of fire is cordoned off. The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Vladimir Puchkov instructed the government of the Rostov region to move the temporary accommodation points from schools to hotels. The Russian government plans to allocate about 600 million rubles from the federal budget to help the victims.
