In 2013, a graduate of the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport Vladislav Zubenko began working as a controller on the Southern Highway. Having an active civil position, he took part in patriotic protests, and in February 2013, a sniper shot was mortally wounded on Maidan in Kiev. November 21, 2014 Vladislav Zubenko posthumously awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine" with the Order "Golden Star". The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate posthumously awarded Vladislav Zubenko with the medal "For sacrifice and love of Ukraine".

In honor of Vladislav Zubenko in Kharkov street is named, in the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport in Kharkov there is a memorial plaque, his name is the laboratory of information systems and technologies UkrGUZhT. On April 1, 2017, the passenger train No 115/166 "Kharkov-Chernivtsi" of the category "Night Express" of the regional branch "Southern Railway" of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" was named Hero of Ukraine, Hero of Heaven Hundreds Vladislav Zubenko.
