Sverdlovsk regional court passed a verdict in the case of mass riots in Reftinsky special school of the closed type, the press service of the regional court.
On the dock were five underage children of a closed educational institution. As the court established, at the end of August and the beginning of September of last year, the students of the Reftinsky special school arranged riots in the educational institution, accompanied by pogroms, as well as the use of violence against the staff of the institution. During the riots, the property of the institution was destroyed and damaged, the damage amounted to more than 250 thousand rubles. The revolt lasted two days. Subsequently, all the fugitives returned to the institution.
The court found Konstantin Levshin, Dmitry Trapeznikov, Ivan Shekunov, Maxim Babelik and Andrei Petrov guilty of participation in mass riots. Petrova and Trapeznikova were sentenced to 2.5 years' imprisonment conditionally, Levshin, Shekunov and Babluk were given two years suspended. In addition, each of them has a probation period of two years.
The sentence will come into force after 10 days, unless it is appealed by the parties.
