The first fires were discovered four days ago. As of today, rescuers in the region continue to fight with fire.

According to the press service of the State Emergency Service in the Poltava region, peat burns in the village of Ivanovo, Globin district. As of Wednesday morning, August 16, it remains to eliminate the burning in an area of ??one hectare.

Now there is a consolidated detachment of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Poltava region.

However, rescuers suspect that the ignition is probably due to a human factor or because of the high air temperature.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, on the night of Wednesday, August 16, in Khmelnytsky region there was a large-scale fire. Warehouses of industrial hemp burned in the town of Starokostyantyniv along Zheleznodorozhnaya Street near the "Uyut" cafe.
