It is reported by The Guardian.

August 21 at twelve o'clock in the afternoon work will begin on the restoration of the bell, from this moment his work will be stopped.

The bell will already ring in 2021.

A large bell beats every hour, and small bells - every quarter of an hour.

The clock itself will not affect the work of the clock, they will continue to show the time to the Londoners silently.

Guests and residents of London will still be able to hear the bells of Big Ben for the holidays: New Year and a memorial Sunday.

Also it is planned to restore four dials.

The last time Big Ben's bells fell silent in 2013 during the funeral of Margaret Thatcher.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in Kiev presented the "Big Ben". In Kiev, near the metro station "Levoberezhnaya" was presented an art-design in the form of an architectural symbol - "Big Ben".
