Previously, she lived in a private house, without water and sewerage, with stove heating and other amenities of village life, but due to her advanced age she began to need a well-maintained accommodation. In April 2016, a woman bought an apartment in Nizhny Tagil for federal budget funds.

And already in May she was visited by a granddaughter from Bryansk, promised to look after her grandmother, and she wrote a gift for a living space in the name of a girl. However, immediately after registration of the contract, the granddaughter left back to Bryansk, taking away the keys, in December 2016 sold the apartment. After the appeal of the widow of the veteran to the prosecutor's office, the employees of the department appealed to the court, with the help of which the contract of donation was recognized as invalid. The woman regained her apartment.
